This is our third overlanding trip across the border of South Africa.
In April of 2014 we travelled from Cape Town to Augrabies, the Kgalegadi, Southern Namibia, down the West Coast of SA then back to Cape Town.
In September of the same year we headed for Botswana for our first trip with Ewert and Cristel and their two small kids, camping wild or in unfenced camp sites for the first time. Driving straight up through Namibia, crossing into Botswana at Buitepos. We overnighted in Maun, a couple of camps in the Moremi Game Reserve and finally at the Kwai Community sites, the undoubted favourite.
This time around, March 2015, we are heading higher up in Namibia. Our orange Jeep Wrangler, fondly named Mango, and our Conqueror Compact trailer are hitched and ready to explore Namibia for three weeks. Our journey starts in the Strand and will take us to overnight spots in Vioolsdrift/Noordoewer, Windhoek, Kamanjab, Sesfontein, Puros, Hoanib River, Palmwag, Etosha for four nights, Brandberg, Swakopmund, Sossusvlei, Aus and finally back home. Well that is the plan. On these trips anything can happen.
